Books I Enjoyed the Most in 2023 as Learning & Development Professional
Here is Why 👇
📚“Atomic Habits” by James Clear is probably one of the most famous and widely advertised books these days. The book takes you on the journey of how to create small habits and make sure these habits stick; literally, habits creation manual. If you are in Learning & Development, one of your main hats is helping people change, and change involves creating habits and rituals you didn’t have before.
📚”Multipliers” by Liz Wiseman is all about how to get more from the people you have around you. By more, I don’t mean how to convince people to work more hours but rather how to tap into their intelligence and ideas for the greater good. The book explores the characteristics of effective leaders who amplify the intelligence and capabilities of those around them. The book also talks about the difference between “Multipliers” and “Diminishers,” providing actionable insights on how leaders can foster a culture of collaboration and unleash the full potential of their teams.
“📚Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill is a timeless classic. The book is equally focused on how to think like a wealthy person and how to become one. The “think” part blew my mind 🤯 and I am definitely re-listening to it again. It taps deep into the power of our subconscious mind and what it can do for us. Being in the L&D for quite some time, the “grow” part didn’t offer much of a new insight to me, but still good.
📚 These books are great resources if combined with action. Without action, it will stay as information in your head and will slowly disappear.
